Contributing to the Science of Regenerative Practice and Systemic Vitality
1. Our Intention
At Unity Effect, we believe that to support thriving teams and healthy systems, we need to understand them deeply. While there is a growing interest in "regenerative practice," there is still a need for rigorous, real-world data on how these principles actually function in practice.
We view our work as a bridge between theory and practice. We use established, substantial frameworks (such as the Capacity Compass and Impact Garden) to support thousands of individuals and teams. By analysing the anonymised patterns across this work, we aim to scientifically validate and advance the fields of regenerative practice, professional & organisational development, and systemic vitality.
This policy outlines how we handle the data you share with us, ensuring that your contribution to this research never comes at the cost of your privacy or trust.
2. The Data We Collect for Research
When you interact with our digital tools or participate in our programs, we may aggregate specific data points for research purposes. This includes:
- Digital Assessments: Responses to our Scorecards (e.g., Impact Garden, Regenerative Teamwork) and the Capacity Compass.
- Program Diagnostics: Pre- and post-assessments completed during team workshops or leadership journeys.
- Contextual Data: Non-identifiable information such as role level, tenure, or work setup (remote/hybrid), which helps us understand how context shapes vitality.
3. How We Protect You: Anonymization & Aggregation
Your trust is our foundation. We strictly separate the "Story" from the "Storyteller."
Before any data is used for research or shared with academic partners, it goes through a strict Anonymisation Process:
- Stripping Identifiers: All Direct Identifiers (names, email addresses, IP addresses) are removed from the dataset.
- Aggregation: We analyse data at a group or trend level (e.g., "How does psychological safety correlate with tenure?"). We do not build profiles of specific individuals.
- No Traceability: Once anonymised, the data cannot be traced back to you or your specific organization.
4. How We Use This Data
We use these anonymised insights for three specific purposes:
- Academic Validation: We partner with accredited universities and researchers to scientifically validate our frameworks, ensuring they remain grounded in evidence, not just opinion.
- Advancing the Field: We publish aggregated insights (e.g., The State of Regenerative Teamwork) to help the wider community understand what makes systems thrive.
- Tool Improvement: We analyse trends to ensure our tools remain responsive to the real-world challenges changemakers face.
Our Promise: We will never sell your data to advertisers or third parties. Your data is used strictly to advance knowledge and support our mission.
5. Open Science & Publication Rights
We believe that knowledge grows when it is shared. Unlike traditional corporate research, we are not looking for proprietary insights to keep behind closed doors.
- Freedom to Publish: We explicitly encourage our academic partners to publish their findings in peer-reviewed journals. We welcome the publication of results, regardless of whether they confirm or challenge our models.
- Joint Authorship: Where appropriate, we are open to co-authoring papers that bridge the practitioner-academic divide, contributing to the broader field of organizational psychology and systems change.
- Open Access: Our goal is to build a "commons" of regenerative knowledge. We prioritize partnerships that aim to make insights accessible to the wider community of changemakers.
6. Your Agency
Participation in this research is an invitation, not a requirement.
Thank you so much for supporting us and providing your data for our research. By sharing these insights, you help us bridge the gap between theory and practice and contribute to a deeper understanding of regenerative systems and collective vitality. We truly appreciate your contribution to this growing field of knowledge.
- Consent: By Checking the consent box on our forms or participating in a client engagement you agree to our privacy policy and allow us to save your data in order to be able to provide you with the results. Your anonymised data will be included in our research studies and does not contain any personal data anymore.
- Opt-Out: If you wish to withdraw your personal data, regardless of the anonymous research data, please write to us any time.
